OPAT National Conference 2025

Outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT) allows for medically stable patients to be discharged (or avoid admission completely) who require a course of intravenous antimicrobial agents. OPAT is a vital scheme that can prevent hospital admissions, reduce a patient’s length of stay in hospital through early discharge, plus reduce the risk of hospital acquired infections.

 

If you are thinking about setting up, or currently run an OPAT service, the BSAC will be hosting a National OPAT Conference online and in-person at the Royal College of Physicians, Liverpool, on 14 November 2025.

To ensure the privacy of individuals, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject.

 

A person attending an BSAC event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer, and/or the event organisers, and/or contact BSAC at ecarruthers@bsac.org.uk in writing of his/her intentions and include a photograph. BSAC will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence.

 

By participating in an BSAC event or by failing to notify BSAC, in writing, your desire to not have your photograph used by BSAC, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify BSAC from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.
